Don't you think sometimes we don't do enough things that make us happy? I mean we do things that make us feel comfortable but truly happy? really?
For those who have never heard of Zumba!
THIS IS IT :D
I've decided to go back for dancing. Not really dancing dancing.. like performing dancing but Zumba dancing. Haha.. crazy right?? I thought that was over and done with but maybe not just quite over yet ;)
A part of me still misses the beat. The bumps and pumps! The sweat and ache! Reminds me of the hours and hours of practice we use to have in high school. When the seniors just won't let us rest; when the music keeps going; and when the counting never ends. 5, 6, 7, 8! oh.. how I miss dancing.
High school scouts campfire used to be the most stressful thing ever (after your demanding parents of course). It used to involve power-crazy scouters (scouts who have already graduated), leaders (who can never get over themselves) and followers (who have no clue what the hell do they have to do). There will be at least 5 departments but I was only familiar with one; the Entertainment department. Sounds like some Starworld comedian show right? Hahah but it was my fun fun FUN in scouts. I never felt more like a scout than I was in that department. Maybe because I felt more belonged (I was never really good at all those knot stuff anyways. I only knew one that was not in the books and that was the fisherman knot and that was because ONE scouter was willing enough to teach more than to preach =_=) but it was something I was willing to cut sleep, cut eat, cut everything .. just to perform.
I'm not saying it's all yay yay yay! Sometimes there will be scouters breathing down your neck, checking to see if your butt is shaking frequently enough or not. There were many times I wanted to like scream at them "SERIOUSLY!! the audience is sitting freaking damn far away lahh. you think they can see whether your butt is out enough ah??! it's a CAMPFIRE. They need lights to even see your face!". But never had the guts too -__- (never had the guts to do anything in high school).
2, 2, 4, 6.
BUT despite the high stress levels (because if you don't perform well, they really make you repeat 247. and when I say repeat I really mean repeat + angry disappointed stares), the satisfaction is really very rewarding.
When you're on stage and when the lights shine your way, you'll feel like you're capable of anything. The moves you could never get right, you'll finally perfect. The courage you thought you never had, will come to you like you're breathing air!And in just 3 minutes... the hours you've spent cursing because the leaders just don't understand.. the seconds you've wasted regretting because of the time you just don't have will fade away..
Because in the end, you know it's worth it :)
