SIFE Sunway has just attended their first National Competition last Sunday. With just a little past 9 months old, our organisation has built courage to showcase our projects this year. Nationals was held at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. And boy! :D was it a intensifying event :O :) :P :S

Us one day before Nationals
And we're still changing our slides and rehearsing our freshly edited lines.
Never have I experienced so many emotions in 3 days. Sad because we didn't have enough time to show the best we've got. Disappointed because we didn't make it to semi's. Nervous because we went on stage anyways. Terrified because the judges looked so grumpy. Contented because we managed to witness the best teams present their projects. Enthusiastic because we had nothing to lose. Proud because we fought with pride.

One thing I realized is there's always gonna be one or two people in the group that will see the cup half empty more often than not. And more often than not this will bring the team's confidence below sea level. I don't know whether I'm just being too unrealistic, always overly optimistic or the world around me is just so gloomy all the time. Question: is it necessary to state the obvious?? Sometimes the truth need not be said but understood. What's important is what lies ahead.
Seriously, what we need is some gigantic juice boost! And the boost has got to be from the bottom. I've got one more year before I start my devil's lair journey and I just can't help thinking how much more can I do now to change what I can change. I keep hearing Mr.David's question in my head: which is right? structure follow strategy or strategy follow structure? which is more important right now?
So many things to think about but yet nothing is strategically impactful without action.
Nationals has done this to me. Don't worry haha I'm not going to die. It's just a lot to digest.
AH HA! SILVER LINING: This competition has also drawn me closer to my team. Again, reminding myself not to only work hard but to also PLAY HARD XD. I've gotten closer to my juniors and hahah I'm so jealous of Siew Ming right now! Eugene, Pei Wen and Steven are such a friendly bunch! LOL especially Pei Wen. She's afraid of the hairdryer lolololol. And Steven... he's just so Steven :P. Are all 1991's youngsters so fun to hang out with? Siew Ming, if you're reading this, I'm so jealous of your intake! :P but yet so happyyy to have you as my frienddd <3

Everyday I monopoly.

Everyday :P

Movie Night with Space Jam
Reviving what's left of my childhood lol :)))
In the end we didn't come back empty handed either :D. We reminded SIFE Malaysia SIFE Sunway exist!! We came back with medals, trophies and certificates. But most importantly, we came home with stories :). Stories of other people's greatness and the paths they took to achieve it. Stories of OUR greatness and how even tourists wanted to take pictures with us :P!

SIFE Sunway and SIFE UMS (finalist)
LOL We gotta get one of these magical scarves! XD
